Get frocked up and festive with Marks & Spencer

So apparently, it's nearly Christmas time. How the hell did November just sneak right up on me? Is anyone else asking themselves just where this entire year went? It's like it was Easter and then I blinked, and all of a sudden, it's practically time for the fat man in the red suit to come down the chimney. Eeek!

With the festive season comes a bunch of parties and social gatherings. Which means I'm constantly asking myself what I'm going to wear. And what is Eva going to wear? Generally, I spend more time planning her outfits and allow myself all of two minutes to work something out for myself. Pretty standard, right?

This November, I've teamed up with Marks & Spencer to show you a few of my favourite party dresses for the mamas and the little babes.

How I select my outfits is kinda different these days than pre-baby. Those short flowy dresses I once wore are off the table now. One of the major things I now consider when choosing an outfit for myself is "is it toddler proof?". Can I bend over and pick her up without showing the entire street my undies? If the answer is yes, then it's ticking boxes for me. Another thing I love about Marks & Spencer is that the delivery is super quick, it literally took just a few days for my order to arrive from the UK to my door.

This lace number is comfy (hell yes, give me all the food), the perfect length (not old lady long, but not too short either) and is oh-so pretty. It's also combining three of my favourite things; white, lace and floral and the quality is second to none.

One thing I find super annoying about mum life is always having to carrying around a huge ass bag. It's so hard to find the right medium sized bag. They're all either huge or a tiny clutch that no mum could find practical once they pack the days essentials. This black faux leather bag is the BEST in-between bag when you don't want to take out your Mary Poppins mum bag but also need to fit a few more things than your phone and lipstick. It also has a bunch of handy little pockets, so finding essential items like the dummy is super quick and easy.

Can we all just agree for a moment that there is nothing cuter than a little babe in a tutu? Add in gumboots and puddles and it's all heart explosions over here. The joy in her face when she finds a big puddle and stands behind it and shouts "JUMP" is kind of the best thing ever.

This sparkly tutu is one of my favourite little party pieces. It's super cute and the perfect length. I find sometimes with skirts they're just too long and get in the way of Eva being able to play properly. I love dressing Eva up in girly little outfits, but one thing I always keep in mind is if it will restrict her wild toddler antics.

I've teamed up the sparkly tutu with just a plain soft pink long sleeve top. This one comes in a pack of three with my fave colours (soft pink, grey, and white) and being 100% cotton, they're super soft and comfy.

These two blue dresses are the sweetest. I love dressing Eva in blue as it matches her pretty blue eyes (can thank my genes for those!). The velvet dress is so very soft and the blue sparkly ribbon just sets it off.
