Remember when you'd gaze into your wardrobe and ponder what to wear each day? Maybe even try on multiple outfits. Those days seem long gone, right? Now, it's more a race against time. My general checklist goes a little something like this: is it clean or can it pass as clean? Yep? Then okay, we're good to go.
Since becoming a mum, I totally find myself stuck in a bit of a style rut. Pre-baby I used to wear tonnes of pretty dresses, and now it seems to be the same old jeans and sneakers. Most days I look at Eva and she's in a perfectly styled outfit, and I'm still rocking my mum bun from the night before, a yoghurt stained t-shirt and jeans that haven't been washed in who knows how long?
We all deserve to treat ourselves every now and then, so I've teamed up with Marks & Spencer to show you how a few new pieces to your mama wardrobe can go a long way. And, they also have a super cute baby range, so naturally I couldn't resist grabbing my little lady a few things too.
I'm a little bit in love with this pinafore on Eva. This one comes as a set, so no need to try and find a top to match. It's also 100% cotton and super soft.
This floaty little dress is perfect for spring here in Australia. The buttons up the front make access super easy for breastfeeding and are such a pretty detail. I wore it to a friend's birthday lunch, however it's so versatile I'll be adding it to my work wardrobe too.
Can anyone tell that I'm kind of addicted to gingham? This top is such a good one for Summer. It's really soft and just comfy to wear and I love the white detail.
Finding comfy skinny jeans that I can still feel okay eating in is usually a massive mission for me. But let me tell you, these ones nail it. They’re super stretchy, so you can definitely wear them all day long. Marks & Spencer jeans also come in a short or long version, which is the best for shorties like me.
How sweet are these denim overalls on Eva? Again, this one comes as a set with the white blouse, makes putting an outfit together for the little person a breeze. I also LOVE that they have the snap buttons on the crotch as I find so many other brands stop doing this past size 1, which makes nappy changes a bit of a nightmare.
This white blouse is oh-so pretty and is a great one to have in your wardrobe to either dress up or down. It'd look great with a denim mini and a pair of heels and I'll also be popping it into my work wardrobe too with some black pants.
One last thing I really love about Marks & Spencer is their commitment to sourcing responsibly and reducing waste. They place a massive importance on paying a fair price to suppliers, supporting local communities and ensuring good working conditions for their workers. As far as I'm concerned, the more companies that adopt this approach, the better.
So, what are you waiting for babes? Go grab yourself some new threads, and maybe even a cheeky little something for your little ones too.
